Governor Doug Ducey this week announced Arizona Western College President Dr. Daniel Corr is one of four new appointments to the Arizona State Board of Education. Dr. Corr is in his first year as President of AWC. He previously served as Vice President of Academic Affairs and Student Affairs at Scottsdale Community College. Dr. Corr takes over the Community College seat on the Board.
In making the appointment announcement, Governor Ducey called Dr. Corr, "A well respected leader in higher education in Arizona, whose experience and perspective as an urban, and rural, higher education leader will bring alignment between the Board's focus on k-12 educational outcomes and the goal of post secondary attainment."
