Bone Marrow Registry Drive in Yuma Wednesday

Courtesy John Concado

Around the country, non-profits that benefit people struggling with Blood Cancers recognize November as Bone Marrow Awareness Month.  Each year, more than 12-thousand Americans are diagnosed with a disease that can be treated with a bone marrow transplant, of which Leukemia and lymphoma are the most common.  KAWC’s Michelle Faust brings us the story of a family that struggled with blood cancer for nearly 20 years, and how they plan to help others today (November 20, 2012) in Yuma.
