As they do on many roads throughout Yuma County, cars competed with agricultural vehicles Tuesday at Arizona Western College. The reason: this week's Southwest Ag Summit taking place on campus.

Looking like Transformers at rest, the multicolored tractors are parked on the grassy area on the east side of the 3C building.

Events include field demonstrations, trade shows, a Latino Farmer Symposium on Wednesday, breakout sessions and the annual Harvest Dinner on Thursday and an ag tour on Friday.

Victor is originally from West Sacramento, California and has lived in Arizona for more than five years. He began his print journalism career in 2004 following his graduation from Georgetown University in Washington D.C. Victor has also served as a local editor for Patch, a national news organization with hyperlocal websites, in Carmichael, California in the Sacramento area.
