The Yuma Union High School District and Goodwill of Central Arizona are once again joining forces to host their job fair.
The job fair happens twice a year for teachers and school personnel. It will take place Thursday, Nov. 7, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the Cesar Chavez Cultural Center located on 1015 N. Main Street in San Luis, Arizona.
Anyone interested in attending can signup by using this link.
It will be a great opportunity for job seekers to find out about any openings across all six of YUHSD's campuses as well as talk to district and campus leadership, and learn about postsecondary opportunities.
The YUHSD Human Resources Department as well as representatives from the transportation department will also be there for anyone interested in support positions, substitute teaching, AVID tutoring, or bus driving positions.
Institutions like Arizona Western College and Northern Arizona University will be present, providing details about their Teachers Academy scholarships, and Arizona State University’s Mary Lou Fulton Teacher’s College.
This will give job seekers who are interested in teaching, but may not have the proper certification, a chance to hear what steps they need to take to advance their careers.
The November fair will mark the fourth time since Spring 2018 that Goodwill of Central Arizona and YUHSD have teamed up. Several teachers and support staff members were hired from past events.
