Yuma Regional Medical Center Receives Community Donations

Yuma County residents have donated in-demand medical supplies to workers at Yuma Regional Medical Center in reponse to the COVID-19 pandemic.

YRMC officials announced today that their foundation has created a special committee to make sure the donations get to the appropriate hospital staff.

Examples of needed supplies include:

-medical grade masks and surgical masks

-heavy-duty and splash-resistant safety goggles

-handmade mask covers

-disinfectant wipes

-household disinfectant supplies such as Clorox bleach and Lysol cleaning products and sanitizers

Money donations are also being accepted to support YRMC employees impacted by COVID-19. Donations are being accepted at www.yumaregional.org/foundation.

Some local residents have volunteered to sew masks and mask covers, which YRMC doctors, nurses and other medical staff can wear over their hospital-grade masks.

Donors may drop off items at the Foundation of Yuma Regional Medical Center, located inside the YRMC Corporate Center, 399 West 32nd St. Donors are asked to please schedule a drop-off by contacting Director Jackie Woodwell at (928) 336-7046 or JWoodwell@yumaregional.org. Donations are being accepted from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
