San Luis Senior Center Closed Indefinitely

City of San Luis

The San Luis Senior Center is closed indefinity following two COVID positive cases and a rise in cases throughout Yuma County, according to the city of San Luis.

The COVID positive cases are related to the Senior Center and the city has closed it until further notice out of an abundance of caution.

The decision to close it comes after the Yuma County Health District reported 100 new COVID cases on Friday.

“There has been a significant rise of the COVID-19 positive rates in Yuma County in the last few weeks. We will do everything necessary to make sure our senior residents are protected,” stated Mayor Gerardo Sanchez. “The well-being and health of our most vulnerable will continue to be our main priority,” he concluded.

Those with questions or concerns can contact the Parks and Recreation Department at (928) 341-8535.
