Hanukkah 2014: History, rituals and celebration

  AZED-Hanukkah is an 8-day Jewish holiday that starts on the 25th day of the Hebrew calendar. It is also known as the festival of lights. Hanukkah is observed for 8 nights and 8 days.

Allstate launches Holiday Home Hazards Campaign

AZED-The holidays are here and a new Allstate poll found that 83 percent of Americans plan to party this season. Experts say that during the holidays, it is easy to overlook the hazards surrounding holiday parties.

In Arizona, theft increases nearly 4 percent during the holiday season.

Medal of Honor museum now open in Yuma

AZED-The Arizona Historical Society recently opened up its new exhibit that showcases the stories of U.S. military personnel who went above and beyond the call of duty.

Located inside the former house of early-day prominent businessman E.F. Sanguinetti, the “Above and Beyond” exhibition features five actual medals of honor earned by a diverse mix of military service members.

KAWC’s Stephanie Sanchez has more on the exhibition that tells the story of Arizona and the medal of honor.
