PHOENIX -- The state's top health official said Friday the anticipated approval of the new Johnson & Johnson vaccine could be a "game changer'' in the fight against COVID-19.

Officials with the Albertsons grocery store company today announced they will be offering doses of the COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine  at one of its Yuma locations starting Tuesday.

The former director of Arizona's health department, Will Humble, says zip-code level data on Covid-19 vaccination rates statewide would show low numbers for disadvantaged populations. But will the state release the information?

PHOENIX -- Acknowledging a disparity, the state's top health official said efforts are underway to get more vaccines into the arms of more members of minority and underserved communities.

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey has asked the federal government for more COVID-19 vaccine for state residents. Most will receive the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, but in Yuma County, because of its ease of transport and storage, health officials chose to distribute the Moderna vaccine.
