A “bird” is a type of song cycle for funerals, protests, birthdays, weddings, and other gatherings, passed down through many generations in the Colorado River Tribes.  The Quechan Tribe recently lost a beloved bird-singer, whose impact is seen through the many who mourn him.  KAWC’s Maya Springhawk Robnett spoke with a few of those who knew and miss him.
