Yuma- U.S. Representative Ann Kirkpatrick, a Democrat from Arizona Congressional District 1 is looking to become the party's senate nominee in the upcoming 2016 primary election.
Kirkpatrick is running unopposed in the primary, unlike incumbent Senator John McCain, who faces a challenge from State Senator Kelli Ward.
KAWC's Stephanie Sanchez caught up with Kirkpatrick at a campaign event in Yuma. Kirkpatrick said she has a vision for the state of Arizona and tackling immigration and education issues top her agenda.
