Thousands gathered Saturday to celebrate everything about tamales at the Somerton Tamale Festival.
The annual event on Somerton's Main Street is put on by the El Diablito Arizona State University Alumni Chapter and raises money for scholarships for incoming ASU students from Yuma County.
More than 30,000 people attended the festival in 2017.
This year's event had more than 40 tamale vendors. Entertainment included headliner Lupillo Rivera, country band Downtime and performing arts groups from Kofa High School and Somerton Middle School.
