National Emergency Alert System test today focused on cell phones

On Wednesday October 4th at 2:20pm ET, The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will issue a nationwide Emergency Alert Test.

The alert will be sent to all phones, television and radios that are turned on.

If the Oct 4 test is postponed, the backup date is Oct 11.

He began his public radio career in 1988 at KNAU in Flagstaff as a classical music DJ and has been hooked on public radio since, transitioning to news after trying his hand at several other careers in publishing and commercial broadcasting.
