A reported visit by President Donald Trump to the border fence near Yuma will not be taking place today.

Media reports out of Washington, D.C. last week said Trump was going to visit to celebrate the completion of the 200th mile of fencing along the U.S.-Mexico border. Trump is scheduled to be in Dallas today to discuss race relations and policing ahead of a $10 million fundraising dinner.

The Arizona Republic reports Trump will headline a June 23 Students for Trump event in Phoenix. The visit would mark Trump's third trip to Arizona in five months.

Meanwhile, in San Luis, a group of Yuma County residents will gather today to protest Trump and in defense of black, undocumented and migrant lives. Organizers said they still plan to meet despite Trump’s change of plans.
