Photo Gallery: Somerton Water Tower Holiday Lighting

The City of Somerton lit up its iconic water tower this year instead of the traditional Christmas tree.

The lighting took place Friday at Centennial Park just under the tower.

Community performing arts groups entertained the crowd before a countdown to light the tower. Santa Claus then arrived and took photos with children.

It was the last Somerton community event for Angelica Roldan as special events coordinator. Roldan, who helped plan events like the Somerton Greater Days celebration and the Corn Festival, will be joining the City of San Luis parks and recreation department.
