After more than 50 years of biosolids use in Yuma, the future of AgTech’s operation on state trust land is now deeply uncertain.

Attorney general candidates Kris Mayes and Warren Petersen clashed over lawsuits against the Trump administration, data centers and other issues during Wednesday debate.

Arizona officials are terminating AgTech LLC’s state land leases in Yuma County, citing lease violations and operations outside the company’s permitted agricultural scope. AgTech disputes the decision, plans to appeal and warns of potential effects on jobs, biosolids management costs and Arizona’s agricultural industry.
