Republican U.S. Senator Martha McSally announced on Twitter Friday morning that President Donald Trump has signed a bill that will allow federal court proceedings in Yuma.

She tweeted “BIG NEWS: @realDonaldTrump just signed my bill expanding access to federal courts in #Flagstaff and #Yuma into law!”

The bill was cosponsored by Democratic Senator Kyrsten Sinema.

With Trump’s signature, Title 28 of the U.S. code will be amended to add Yuma and Flagstaff to the list of Arizona cities authorized to hold federal district court proceedings.

Previously, those proceedings could be held only in Phoenix, Tucson, Prescott and Globe.

McSally was in Yuma on Thursday where she met with the acting homeland security secretary at the Yuma Sector Border Patrol station.
