U.S. Sen. Martha McSally was in Yuma on Saturday in her first announced in-person campaign visit since the COVID-19 pandemic began in March.
Senator McSally spent the day in Yuma meeting with volunteers and local Republican officials as well as meeting with supporters including a few Latinos For Trump in the Yuma Foothills.
On Twitter, McSally wrote “Yuma, you are amazing! We are going to fight for every vote and defend our freedoms till the final vote is counted. 24 days!”
McSally, who was appointed to her seat by Gov. Doug Ducey following the death of Sen. John McCain, seeks a full term against her Democratic opponent Mark Kelly. He has not announced any campaign events in Yuma as of Monday afternoon.
