Frieda Madrigal and Marty Schotten have each worked 45 years at Onvida Health in Yuma.

On today's Yuma Edition our guests are Frieda Madrigal and Marty Schotten. They are two of four employees who have just been recognized for 45 years each of service at Onvida Health.

Onvida officials say 294 employees were honored for a total of 3,500 years of service at the health provider's employee gala this past Friday.

Madrigal works in case management and Schotten works in imaging/radiology. The two met through a running club for Onvida employees and are married.

We talked about how they began at the then-Yuma Regional Medical Center, how the health care system in Yuma has grown over the years and how they say Onvida staff is one big family.

The other Onvida employees with 45 years are Mona Orta in Nutrition Services and Kathy Seale in Clinical Informatics.

Onvida Health is an underwriter for KAWC.
