The Arizona Western College and University of Arizona Informatics programs are teaming up with the Southwest Technical Education District of Yuma (STEDY) to offer a Raspberry Jam for middle school students in South Yuma County.

A Jam is an event where people with different levels of computing experience come together to teach, learn, and create with Raspberry Pi computer systems. AWC/UA Informatics and STEDY will be hosting workshops at an upcoming Raspberry Jam event to help students learn how to use the devices, which will be set up and ready for them to explore.

The Jam will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday at the AWC San Luis Technology Institute, 1135 N. Main Street.

Fifty students from the Gadsden Elementary School District #32 are expected to participate in this event.
