Yuma’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular will take place this year at the Pacific Avenue Athletic Complex in a drive-up event.
Yuma city officials announced the event is a drive-up event, designed for visitors to enjoy from within their own vehicles. A 20-minute fireworks display will begin at about 8:45 p.m.
Yuma has held fireworks in recent years at the Ray Kroc Complex and Desert Sun Stadium. However, with tall trees in the accompanying parking lot and residential neighborhoods nearby, city staff said the PAAC would be more convenient for a drive-up event.
Somerton and San Luis officials have announced fireworks shows with live music available online to encourage residents to stay home. Wellton announced a cancellation of July 4th events this year.
