The Democratic State Committee, the governing body of the Arizona Democratic Party, held its first meeting of 2020 on Saturday on the Arizona Western College Yuma main campus.

The party’s first planning meeting of this election year was headlined by CD-3 Representative Raul Grijalva, and Secretary of Public Instruction Katie Hobbs.  After speaking at the event, Congressman Grijalva stopped by the KAWC studios, sitting down with KAWC’s Kim Johnson.

The Congressman discussed the Party State Committee meeting in Yuma and the importance of the Yuma area in the 2020 vote.  He had much to say about his belief that Arizona will be in play on a number of levels during the election.
