New Arizona Guide Highlights Hiking Trails and Burger Joints

Roger Naylor loves Arizona and his new book has him walking and eating in some of the state’s most picturesque and unique places.

Boots and Burgers: An Arizona Handbook for Hungry Hikers is a collection of hiking trails and eateries from across the state. The entries describe each hike, assesses their difficulty, and suggest both activities on the trail and nearby.  And since hiking can lead to a healthy appetite, Naylor offers up suggestions for where to grab a great burger afterward.

Naylor tells KAWC the book is a sort of love letter to a state he reveres for its diverse landscapes and distinctive communities.

Hear more of Roger Naylor’s conversation with KAWC’s Lou Gum below, including his take on Yuma’s best trail and best burger place:

Naylor will be in Yuma Friday (2/15) for a presentation and book signing at the Sanguinetti House Museum and Gardens from 11:00am to 12:00pm.

Seating limited! RSVP: 928-782-1841 or ykruse@azhs.gov.
