Restaurants in Arizona can reopen their dining rooms, after weeks of only being able to offer carryout and delivery service.
Restaurants will not be able to seat parties of more than 10. And there must be at least six feet between tables. Those and other guidelines were announced May 4 by Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey.
In Somerton, city officials met with restaurant owners on Friday to outline safety measures and hand out N95 face masks that had been donated to the city.
“We’re going to try it and see how it goes for a week," Martin Porchas, an owner at the 85350 sports bar in Somerton, told KAWC. "Obviously, at half capacity, it’s hard to maintain a business at that level so we’ll see how it does.”
Barbershops and beauty salons were allowed to reopen Friday, with increased safety measures in place.
