Castle Dome Middle School has reopened after cooling system repairs that forced a temporary closure during classes, highlighting broader issues with Arizona’s school facilities funding system.

Castle Dome Middle School families have the choice of selecting remote learning or in-person learning at nearby elementary campuses beginning Wednesday, March 11.

The board may change boundaries elsewhere, but long-term plans may include building new classrooms, a new school and converting two others into a K-8 magnet school if a 2026 bond measure passes.
