A bid to strip state lawmakers of their ability to avoid traffic citations during the legislative session has fizzled.

Attorneys for Kari Lake and Mark Finchem are on the hook for $122,000 in legal fees for Maricopa County for filing what a federal appeals court called a "frivolous'' challenge to the use of voting machines in Arizona.

Three current and former Republican lawmakers with links to the Jan. 6 riot are going to get another chance to escape having to pay the legal fees of Charlene Fernandez who a trial judge said she was unfairly sued by them.
