President Donald Trump will be in Yuma Tuesday.

Trump is scheduled to arrive at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma just before 11 a.m. He will then attend a briefing at the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Yuma Station.

White House officials announced Saturday that Trump will view construction of the border wall near Yuma. It was previously reported that he would attend a ceremony for the completion of 200 miles for the border fence.

Temporary street closures will likely be in effect during Trump’s visit.

On Monday, Trump said on Twitter "the Border Wall has long been under construction, the battle (war) is won, the Dems have FINALLY given in. In fact, I will be in Arizona tomorrow to celebrate the 212th plus mile of completion."

Trump had been reported to visit June 10 but that visit was never confirmed by Trump or White House officials. A protest still took place in San Luis that day.

Trump is scheduled to attend a Students For Trump event in Phoenix later Tuesday.

Expected to join Trump in Yuma are Department of Homeland Security Acting Secretary Chad Wolf, Deputy DHS Acting Secretary Ken Cuccinelli and CBP Acting Commissioner Mark Morgan.

Trump’s last appearance in Yuma was in 2017 when he visited with U.S. Marines and CBP agents.
