Sunset Health officials announced that a patient in San Luis, Arizona met screening criteria consistent with viral respiratory infection, including the coronavirus on Wednesday but test results for whether this patient has the virus or not are still pending.
In a Facebook post Thursday, Sunset Health said that the clinic is not closed and the employees of the health center are not being quarantined at this time.
As of Thursday afternoon, there have been no positive cases of coronavirus in Yuma or La Paz counties.
Sunset officials said protocols from the Centers for Disease Control and the Arizona Department of Health Services are being followed. Staff members also notified the Yuma County Health Department and further instruction for follow up and testing is still in progress.
Sunset Health officials said all safety and risk measures were implemented, followed appropriately and were consistent with their guidelines.
