  • In this episode, we're joing by Myriah VanBuskirk and Shannon Rouff. Myriah is a Yuma native and the Head Coach of the Yuma Heat Swim Team. A former collegiate MVP swimmer and nationally experienced coach, she recently returned home to lead the program her parents helped found, bringing high-level coaching and a focus on athlete development back to Yuma. Shannon is the Board President of Yuma Heat and a longtime advocate for youth and water safety. A former educator and certified USA Swimming Official, she works closely with families to support young athletes and promote swimming as both a sport and a life-saving skill.

He is actively collecting signatures to get on the ballot and joins us to share why he’s running, what he’s hearing from the community, and how his background in preparation and accountability could shape city leadership.
  • Delayna Delgadillo is an 18-year-old former competitive dancer who grew up in a professional dance environment while staying enrolled in school full time. She is a varsity spirit line member, a nail tech, and was introduced early to multitasking, discipline, and a strong work ethic through dance and academics. Elise Passino is an 18-year-old former competitive dancer and varsity cheerleader who balanced the demands of high-level dance with full-time academics from a young age. Her experience shaped her ability to manage pressure, stay focused, and pursue passion while maintaining balance.
  • Kelly Hughes is a seasoned country and old-school rock artist whose journey started in the pine-covered hills of North Idaho. Playing professionally by age 14, Kelly went on to open and run his own live music venue for two decades, helping launch and support countless artists. In 2004, his life took a powerful turn when he found his faith, reshaping both his music and his purpose. Kelly has opened for legends like George Jones, Merle Haggard, and Waylon Jennings, and today brings his authentic, faith-guided sound to audiences across the Southwest. He joins us to share stories from the road, his journey through music and faith, and will also perform a special live set on the show. The Kelly Hughes Band will be Dancin’ in the Desert at High Tanks Brewery in Wellton on February 21st.
  • Jessica Smith is a sophomore standout on the Arizona Western College softball team and one of the most dominant pitchers in the country. A native of Australia and transfer from Crowder College, Jessica was an All-American last season and finished second nationally in strikeouts. Just four weeks into this season, she has already earned multiple Conference Pitcher of the Week honors along with a National Pitcher of the Week award. She joins us to talk about her path from Australia to AWC, her mindset in the circle, and what’s driving her incredible start to the season.The Lady Matador Softball games are streamed on AWC TV.

Both hosts share their own experiences as scholarship recipients to show that anyone can do it. We also share important dates and tips to help students apply with confidence at AWC starting February 15th until April 1st.
  • Drew Caudle is a senior defensive lineman (DT/DE) for the Gila Ridge High School Hawks Football team. and one of the most dominant defensive players in the region. Standing 6’2”, 235 lbs, Drew anchored the Hawks’ defense during the 2025 season with 16 sacks, 20 tackles for loss, and over 83 total tackles. He earned Region Defensive Player of the Year honors and First Team All-Region recognition in the 4A Desert Southwest Conference, and received multiple collegiate offers to play at the next level. Drake Phillips is a senior Free Safety at Gila Ridge High School and a four-year member of the Hawks football program. This season, he recorded 85 tackles and 3 interceptions, playing a crucial role in the team’s defensive success. Drake has also earned multiple collegiate offers and joins us to talk about his growth, preparation, and what’s next after high school football. Drew and Drake post their highlights on X.Lindy Caudle, Drew's mom, is a Roll native and a dedicated supporter of Gila Ridge High School athletics. Through her work with booster clubs, she has helped strengthen sports programs, build school spirit, and support student-athletes across the community. Lindy played a key role in establishing multiple booster clubs as 501c3 non-profits, allowing programs like football, wrestling, and golf to secure grants and improve fundraising through tax-deductible donations.
