Two Yuma High School programs, AVID and Career & Technical Education, will be taking part in G.W. Carver Elementary School’s “Trunk or Treat” Fall celebration.

It'll be Thursday, Oct. 24, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Carver will be hosting the event for the very first time with the hopes of creating a fun and safe tradition for area families.

“I am excited for the participation of Yuma High in our Fall Festival,” said Carver Principal Matt Buckley. “We recently became an AVID Elementary School, so we are excited that we will have education represented at our festival all the way from Pre-K to college.”

Students from the CTE program will be one of numerous community partners on hand to offer Carver families a no-cost activity, pass out program information, and pass out candy for students who are trick or treating at the event.

AVID students from Yuma High will be serving as volunteers, helping set up and interacting with families.
