Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey announced the statewide stay-at-home order will expire Friday with gyms and pools re-opening this week under strict guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control.

During Tuesday's press conference, Gov. Ducey said he plans to implement another executive order which begins the process of opening the state's economy.

"Let's focus on vulnerable individuals, follow the CDC guidance, which is what Arizona's done from the beginning," Ducey said. "If you can telework, do telework. Physical distancing won't go away, avoid large gatherings."

Schools will remain closed, and in-person visitations to nursing homes will continue to be prohibited, Gov. Ducey said.

However, he announced that gyms, pools, and spas can reopen Wednesday under strict guidance from the CDC.

Ducey called his new executive order phase one of the three-phase guidelines to reopen the nation from the White House.
