On Tuesday, Sept. 23, Arizona Western College’s president Dr. Daniel Corr hosted a town hall with Yuma County’s elected officials from legislative districts 23 and 25.The KAWC student newsroom partnered with Siendo Primero hosts and producers, Saghey Barcenas and Evelyn Garcia, for the event to interview state representatives.

Senate Bill 1301, which is being cosponsored by Sen. John Kavanagh, R-Fountain Hills, and Sen. Brian Fernandez, D-Yuma, said the state has no curriculum requirements to include the histories.
