AWC kicked off the fall semester this week. KAWC explored the Yuma Campus to ask students about how they were feeling on the first week.

KAWC visited Ed Pastor Elementary School in San Luis to ask families how they were feeling on the first day of school.

Tuesday was the first day of classes at the Yuma Union High School District. KAWC visited Gila Ridge High School to find out how students were feeling.

Monday was the first day of school at Crane School District, so KAWC asked kids, parents and teachers how they felt about the new year.

Over 30 K-12 schools in Yuma and La Paz counties start their new school year the weeks of July 28, Aug. 4 and Aug. 11.

Yuma Union High School District students will need to register before school resumes on Tuesday, July 29.

Families of children in grades K-8 can access info and resources, receive free school supplies and vaccines.

The Regional Center for Border Health is holding free back-to-school events at three of its walk-in clinics in Somerton, San Luis and Parker next month.
