Raul Grijalva

Grijalva’s daughter, Adelita Grijlava, is now one of five Democratic candidates seeking to fill former Rep. Raul Grijalva's seat in the House.

She is the daughter of the late Congressman Raúl Grijalva, who served southern Arizona, including south Yuma County, for 22 years. She told KAWC "I'm ready to stand on my own two feet."

Secretary Adrian Fontes told KAWC he graduated from Arizona Western College in Yuma. Tucson mayor said she isn't running. Grijalva daughter says she'll make announcement after her father's services next week.

Grijalva's district included south Yuma County and he was often in Yuma, Somerton and San Luis.
