Arizona Western College Men's Soccer Coach Kenny Dale reached his 300th career victory with the Matadors this past weekend.
Dale and the AWC men got the milestone win by a 3-2 win over Snow College in Utah, Matadors Athletics officials announced.
Dale joined Arizona Western in 2005 and is entering his 22nd season with the Matadors. His career win-loss-tie record at AWC is 300-102-30.
In a released statement, Dale said "I don't really feel those milestones at all. I'm only concerned about the next game for my entire career because I have had milestones at different levels, so I don't think about it as much as other people do. I will look back one day and look at all the milestones. I told the players this is win number one. That's what's important."
AWC sports officials said Dale began his coaching career in 1994 with the women's soccer team at Moorpark College in Ventura County in Southern California. He was then named head coach for women's soccer from 1995-97 at Pepperdine in Malibu.
In 1999, Dale took on the top job at Cochise College in Southern Arizona before being hired at Arizona Western six years later.
Matadors Athletics officials said during Dale's time at AWC, the team has five NJCAA national tournament appearance, with four consecutive appearances from 2021-2024 and national runner-up finishes in 2022 and 2023. The team also has multiple ACCAC and Region I championships and more than 70 NJCAA Academic All-Americans.
The Matadors' next home game is Tuesday against Scottsdale Community College at 5:30 p.m. at Matador Field.
