On this week's Arizona Edition, Dolly Parton fans in Yuma and beyond are mourning her passing this week. It has also been a chance for some locals who were lucky to see her perform in Yuma back in 1974 to remember the show. KAWC civic engagement reporter Carmen Marquez spoke with a woman who was at that show.
And federal officials earlier this month announced a plan to manage Colorado River water for the next two years. It calls on Arizona and the other Lower Basin states California and Nevada to reduce their water allocations. Tom Buschatzke, the director for the Arizona Department of Water Resources, spoke to KAWC reporter Victor Calderón about Yuma water leaders being at the negotiating table.
