Murray is from Tracy in Northern California. She said a professor told her she spoke like a news reporter and she's now in that role at KYMA in Yuma.

El es Joaquin! Hight was an intern and student host on KOFA Border Radio and also worked at AWC TV. He's now a News 11 Sunrise anchor at KYMA.

Danyelle Burke North is a former reporter and anchor at KYMA in Yuma. She spoke with us about getting to meet interesting people through her journalism career.

KYMA anchor and executive producer Jailene Aguilera joins us in the studio. Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, she worked her way through community college and Cal State Northridge, graduating in 2022, and quickly stepped into leadership in local news. Beyond the newsroom, she’s Miss Ocean to Ocean 2025 and a passionate advocate for heart health in Yuma County, helping secure an official proclamation through the county board.
