Governor Katie Hobbs has appointed Yuma Mayor Douglas Nicholls to the Arizona Space Commission, a move aimed at strengthening the state’s role in the growing space industry.

Yuma city officials announced Mayor Nicholls was named a 2024 Leader of the Year in Public Policy by the Arizona Capitol Times.
